A 6-year-old girl died after a wild elephant attacked her home in Kanchanpur.

 

The incident happened around 2:30 am on Sunday in ward no. 6 of Laljhadi Rural Municipality, when a wild elephant entered the house of Kisan Singh Saud

.

During the attack, Saud’s mother, 55-year-old Parbati Saud, and her granddaughter, 6-year-old Rojina Saud, were injured while trying to escape. Locals alerted the police, and both were first taken to T&C Hospital for treatment.

 

As they needed more care, they were referred to Dhangadhi. Unfortunately, Rojina Saud passed away at Nawajiban Hospital in Dhangadhi around 6:15 am, Kanchanpur Police Spokesperson and Deputy Superintendent Hem Bahadur Shahi confirmed.
