The Election Commission (EC) is starting a nationwide voter education campaign to ensure the upcoming House of Representatives election on March 5 is successful.
The campaign will run from February 15 to March 1 and aims to make voting easier and reduce invalid votes.
Every ward will have a volunteer for voter education. Across the country, there are 6,743 wards in 753 local levels. These volunteers will visit every household to explain the importance of voting.
According to EC spokesperson Narayan Prasad Bhattarai, sample ballot papers will be used to teach voters how to vote correctly. Each local level will also have a contact person to monitor the voter education efforts.
