Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been released on bail as per the order of the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office. He was arrested on Friday from Dakshinkali while traveling to Birgunj, following controversial public statements related to elections and the restoration of a Hindu state and monarchy.

Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai has been released on bail.
According to the order of the Kathmandu District Government Attorney’s Office, Prasai was released on bail, informed SP Deepakraj Awasthi of the Central Cyber Bureau.
Police had arrested Prasai on Friday from the Chhalnakhel area of Dakshinkali Municipality while he was on his way from Kathmandu to Birgunj, Parsa.
In recent days, Prasai had been making public statements advocating that a “Hindu state should be established before holding elections.” Earlier, on Magh 19, he had claimed in Chitwan that elections would not take place unless the monarchy is restored.
