Dr. Arzu Rana Urges Probe in Nepali Student’s Death

Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana urged Odisha’s Higher Education Minister, Surjya Narayan Patro, to ensure a fair probe into the death of Nepali student Prakriti Lamsal and take action against those responsible. She also asked for a safe environment for Nepali students at KIIT.

Patro assured that the Odisha government is taking the case seriously, with a high-level investigation committee formed and a hotline for Nepali students. He also confirmed that staff mistreating students have been fired, and legal action is being taken.
