CPN-UML to Hold Central Committee Meeting on Election Strategy

The CPN-UML will hold its second Central Committee meeting on Saturday to discuss election plans and current political issues.

 

According to Min Bahadur Shahi, head of the party’s Central Publicity and Publication Department, the meeting will start at 11 a.m. at Majestic Grand Party Palace in Ekantakuna, Lalitpur.

 

The meeting will mainly focus on the party’s strategy for the upcoming House of Representatives elections, along with ongoing political developments.

 

The decision to hold this second meeting was made during the first Central Committee meeting on December 19, 2025. The meeting will continue for two days, from January 10 to January 11.

 

UML Secretary Dr. Rajan Bhattarai said that issues such as appointing central committee members, forming the Politburo and Standing Committee, and dividing responsibilities will not be discussed in this meeting, as the main focus is on election preparation.
