China Urges Citizens to Think Before Traveling to the US

China has warned its citizens to be cautious before traveling to the United States.

The warning comes as tensions rise between China and the US over trade. China’s Ministry of Culture and Tourism has advised travelers to carefully consider the risks before going to the US. The advisory was issued in the wake of worsening trade relations and US security policies.

China’s Ministry of Education has also told students to think about safety risks before deciding to study in the US.

The trade conflict between the two countries has grown over tariffs. China has set an 84% tariff on US goods, while US President Donald Trump has imposed a 125% tariff on Chinese products.

Trump had planned to impose tariffs on all countries but decided to delay them for 90 days for everyone except China after facing criticism. However, China says it won’t remove its retaliatory tariffs.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that China will not back down from its stance, no matter how long the trade war lasts.
