Car Three Injured as Car Crashes Into Electric Pole in Lalitpur

Three people were injured in a car accident that took place on Sunday night (May 4) on the Satdobato–Hattiban downhill road in Lalitpur. The accident involved a car with the number plate Ba 15 Cha 7652. The injured have been identified as Bishal BK, Amardhwaj Paudel and Muses Lamichhane. They are currently receiving treatment at Patan Hospital, according to police.

The car had four people inside, including the driver. The driver, Rupak Sapkota, received minor injuries. Police said he was driving under the influence of alcohol and have arrested him for further investigation.

The car hit an electric pole on the road, breaking it. The pole was supporting a high-tension 11,000-volt wire and stood in the middle of the road. Police have requested the public to be cautious while traveling in the area.

Municipal police, traffic police, Nepal Police and technicians from the Nepal Electricity Authority are working together to remove the damaged pole.
