Belauri Municipality has decided to close schools for two days because of the extreme heat. The decision was made to protect the health of teachers, students, and staff from the harmful effects of the high temperatures.
According to Mayor Potilal Chaudhary, the holiday has been given by a mayor-level decision. He informed that both community and private schools inside the municipality will remain closed today and tomorrow. This heat holiday will later be adjusted with the regular monsoon vacation.
As the heat increases, people are facing difficulties going outside. In the afternoons, there are fewer people in the markets and on the highways.
Health workers said that many people are visiting health centers with problems like dizziness, headaches, fever, and eye infections due to the heat.
