Hospitals and health institutions in all 13 districts of Bagmati Province can now apply for registration, renewal and upgrading using an online system.
The Bagmati Province Government launched this online service on Monday to make the process easier. The province's Health Minister, Kiran Thapa Magar, said the new system will help hospitals and health institutions complete their registration and renewal online.
This decision comes in the wake of complaints about financial misconduct during inspections for private hospitals and health institutions.
Dr Sumitra Gautam, secretary at the province's Ministry of Health, said the provincial government wants to make the process smooth for private health institutions while also making regulations stricter.
