Amid Soaring Temperatures, Meteorological Forecasting Division's Website in Rough Weather

Is all well with the website (https://mfd.gov.np) of the Meteorological Forecasting Division? 

Does not seem so. 

The website seems to have been experiencing some rough weather for some hours. 
 

They call it hacking or something? A denial of service attack? 

This glitch could not have come at a worse time. It comes at a time of soaring temperatures in the country, a phenomenon that is likely to last for some days, right, weathermen? Ironically, users trying to visit the website get an image of a youth sitting amid the rains, a tad too sad.          

By the way, this is not the first time government websites have experienced hacking. 

On January 29, 2023, for example, more than 400 Nepal government websites went down for several hours, disrupting services and causing inconveniences to thousands of passengers at Kathmandu airport.

Meanwhile, a source at the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology (DHM) said: We migrated the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD)'s website to the DHM website sometime back without bothering to shut the MFD website, given that there was no need to shut the idle site. Taking advantage of this, some malicious actor hacked the MFD site.
