A Nepali Culinary Delight in Beijing: Fest Draws Diplomats, Foodies, Journos

The Embassy of Nepal in Beijing recently organized a lively and colorful Nepal Food Festival, aiming to showcase Nepal’s rich culinary traditions and promote cultural diplomacy. The event served as a platform to introduce authentic Nepali flavors to the Chinese audience, featuring a wide range of traditional dishes. 

The dishes were the creation of experienced Nepali chefs, offering guests a true taste of Nepal.

In addition to the delicious food, the festival included live cooking demonstrations, traditional music and cultural dance performances, creating an immersive experience of Nepali culture. 

On the occasion, Sunil Sharma, senior manager of the Nepal Tourism Board, made a comprehensive PowerPoint presentation showcasing Nepal’s tourism attractions, including its natural beauty, heritage sites and adventure opportunities.

The event, a part of the embassy’s ongoing efforts to strengthen Nepal-China relations through cultural exchanges, tourism promotion, and people-to-people connections, drew Chinese government officials, diplomats, media representatives and food enthusiasts.
