900 Vehicles Seized for Operating Without Permission During Election

On the day of the House of Representatives election, security personnel in the Kathmandu Valley have seized vehicles that were operating without proper authorization.

 

During the election, security measures were tightened, and police reported that 900 vehicles were impounded from various locations across the valley for being operated without the Election Commission’s permit (pass).

 

Superintendent Nareshraj Subedi of the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police told Nepal News Bank that most of these vehicles were operating in “core” areas when they were intercepted.

 

According to the police, only essential services were allowed to operate on election day. Motorcycles, scooters, and other vehicles violating this rule were seized, and the necessary legal procedures are being carried out.
