54 terrorists killed while crossing from Afghanistan, says Pakistan

The Pakistan army has claimed that 54 terrorists were killed while trying to illegally cross into Pakistan through the northwestern border with Afghanistan.

Between last Friday and Sunday, security forces in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province spotted a large group trying to cross the border.

According to international news agency AFP, the army said the group was trying to enter Pakistan to carry out major terrorist attacks under the direction of foreign powers.

Since the Taliban returned to power in Afghanistan in 2021, Pakistan has accused armed groups hiding in Afghanistan of attacking its territory. However, the Afghan government has denied this.

Pakistan says it has repeatedly asked the Afghan government to control these terrorist groups, but Afghanistan has ignored these requests.
