What Do High Heavens Have in Store for Nepal in 2082 BS?

What do the heavenly objects have in store for Nepal as it enters a new year of the Bikram Sambat (2082 BS), leaving behind a number of turbulent years?

Nepal Verified News caught up with renowned astrologer Ojaraj Upadhyay Lohani, with all due regard to the human endeavor that triumphs against all odds. 
 

Here’s the gist of it the conversation:

From the astrological perspective, 2082 BS (April 14, 2025-April 13, 2026) is one of the best years for Nepal overall, but with a rocky start. 

In the high heavenly scheme of things, the Sun and the Moon are the king and the minister for this year (the position holders keep changing yearly), an alignment that suits Nepal whose national flag sports the Sun and the Moon.

The heavenly alignment suggests that luck (Bhagya) is also on the side of us—the hardworking Nepalis.  

The Siddarthanam Samvatsar (the Jovian year named Siddartha) is quite suitable for the exploration of knowledge, science, research and cooperation. This year is good for increasing goodwill among communities. The planetary alignments suggest it will further inspire the intellectuals on the path of truth, integrity and honesty.

At the start of the year, all five major planets are in the sphere of Vrihaspati (Jupiter), whereas two are in the sphere of Mars. These two are heavenly objects friendly toward Nepal, meaning that 2082 BS can be a great year for Nepal and the Nepalis.  

A rocky start

Still, till Jeth 4 (May 18), there’s an alignment of the Saturn and Rahu, which is considered inauspicious.

What’s more, the 12th house of the country’s birth-chart has its house full till Baishah 23 (May 6) with several planets inhabiting it, which is an inauspicious sign.  

The Mars is in an inferior position and this brings no good tiding, either, as the planet is associated with unknown diseases and military activities.

From Shrawan 11 (July 27) to Bhadra 27 (September 12), the Mars and the Saturn (considered each other’s enemies) will be gazing at each other (on the same heavenly plane), this is also not a favorable situation. During this period, chances of diseases, pandemics and natural disasters are high.

Suffice to say that the first half of 2082 BS is not so suitable for the country.

But things get better….
 

For Nepal, things start getting better after Bhadra 27 (September 12) onwards. Still, we will have to make these heavenly objects work for us by maintaining discipline, high moral and ethical standards and shunning anarchic activities.  

Changes in corridors of power

As for this year, the change of guard is but a small thing. Chances of historic changes taking place in 2082 remain high.

In fact, this is the year when true patriots—patriots in deed and not fake patriots—ethical people, people with high moral standards, will triumph, in all likelihood.

The year of organic growth

This is the year when the foreign aid-based economy will slip into a coma. From the outset, this may seem bad for the economy, but it will make way for the growth of our organic economy, our natural economy. Our organic economy will gradually grow and the fake economy—in which most of the foreign aid goes back to the source—will be in a critical condition.

Neighborhood and beyond

On the international front, the American economy is likely to suffer considerable negative impact. The planetary alignment indicates that things will get difficult for China and more difficult for India. For Russia, the planetary alignment appears greatly favorable.

A year to remember, for eons

If we manage to make full utilization of this favorable planetary alignment by maintaining discipline, high moral standards and shunning anarchy, 2082 BS will turn out to be a historic year for Nepal and the Nepalis. It will go down in history as a year in which Nepal and the Nepalis can take pride for eons to come as it will kick the living lights out of foul guys and wash away anomalies, wrongdoings and malpractices.  

Contrary to certain analyses, Nepal is likely to overcome threats to her existence. The country is likely to get rid of the transition period. All this will happen with less damage if the rulers and the conscious Nepalis of this day and age exercise restraint, maintain discipline and shun anarchy.

The three years preceding 2082 BS saw wrongdoings, bad deeds and foul plays at new heights. The year 2082 will be the year of punishment for all those wrongdoings.
