Three Emerging Political Forces to Unite Under a Single Front Today

In a major political development, three emerging forces are set to unite under one banner today

The Baburam Bhattarai–led Nepal Samajwadi Party (Naya Shakti), Janardan Sharma’s Progressive National Campaign, and the faction led by Santosh Pariyar will formally announce their merger at an event in Kathmandu.

Rekhi Gurung, the publicity chief of Naya Shakti, said preparations for the unity declaration program at the National Assembly Hall have been completed. Along with the three key groups, several other like-minded factions will also join the ceremony.

The unification follows a joint agreement the parties signed on Kartik 28. Organizers say the event is dedicated to bringing together new and alternative political forces.

Naya Shakti has also been holding talks with Bibeksheel Sajha, Nagarik Unmukti Party Nepal, and various Gen-Z groups for potential future collaborations.
