Gagan Thapa, General Secretary  of Nepali Congress said that the minds of those leading the country are not right, and therefore, the pace of progress is also not right.
Speaking at the program held in Kathmandu he said that although the public has trust, the development and transformation have not been achieved in the right way due to widespread corruption.
He expressed that the country has not been able to grasp the right pace and added, "In these three years, the state of Nepali society in terms of corruption is where we are now. We must work to reduce it."
Furthermore, he stated that the long list of scandals that the people have heard about should be compiled, and all those involved should be brought to justice. He emphasized that no matter how powerful a prime minister or minister may be, anyone involved in corruption while holding a public office in Nepal will not be spared by Nepali society.
