The new forces must be accepted: Prachanda

Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda', said that the new forces emerging with the mandate of the people must be accepted.

In a post on social media on Saturday, Prachanda emphasized that the new forces and faces have risen on the foundation of our weaknesses, and therefore, they must be accepted. "I have always referred to the new faces, who have come with the mandate of the people, as beautiful flowers blooming in the garden of democracy," he said. "By following the democratic process, the old forces must not curse the new power and faces that have emerged from their own weaknesses. Instead, they must accept their shortcomings, as only then can they transform themselves."

He further added, "It is the people who distinguish between right and wrong. I believe that only through this process we can strengthen the democratic republic we fought for."
