The government should not take loans

The President of the Nepali Congress and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has stated that the government should not take loans during Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli's upcoming visit to China. Speaking to the media, he mentioned that Nepal does not have the capacity to take on more loans and should seek grants instead. He emphasized that China is a friendly nation of Nepal and there is nothing unusual about starting the first visit with China.

Deuba was not present at the discussion held by Prime Minister Oli today regarding the agenda for his China visit, which was attended by former prime ministers, former foreign ministers, and other ministers. Deuba had traveled to Janakpur as part of a pre-scheduled program.
