The Election Commission has instructed that no more than 10 flags and election symbols should be used during election campaigning.
Highlighting some incidents that have occurred in violation of the code of conduct during the By-election campaign, the Commission has directed that the size, shape, and color of flags, campaign materials, pamphlets, and signboards should not differ from the prescribed standards. The Commission has also informed that no digital boards, flex or signboards, audio materials, or audiovisual content should be used for campaigning purposes.
In case of violation of the code of conduct, immediate action will be taken, and election officers, monitors, and local authorities have been directed accordingly, as stated by Commission spokesperson Nita Pokharel Aryal. The election code of conduct has been in effect from Mangsir 2, until the completion of the election, ensuring a free, fair, and peaceful environment for the By-election scheduled for MAngsir16. The Commission has deployed various mechanisms for effective implementation of this code.
