The Supreme Court of Nepal has scheduled a hearing for Mangsir 7 in a contempt case filed against Prime Minister Sushila Karki.
The case stems from a petition by lawyer Premraj Silwal, who alleged that the Prime Minister violated a court order issued on Kartik 16. The Supreme Court had temporarily barred the government from recalling foreign ambassadors, but on Kartik 17, PM Karki reportedly summoned the ambassadors back, prompting the contempt petition.
The government had earlier decided on Asoj 30 to recall Nepali ambassadors from countries including China, Germany, Israel, Malaysia, Qatar, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Spain, the USA, the UK, and Japan.
The Supreme Court will conduct the preliminary hearing of the contempt case on Mangsir 7.
