Statement Made By Prachanda Is Unfortunate

Home Minister Ramesh Lekha has said that the recent comments made by former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Centre), Pushpa Kamal Dahal (Prachanda), regarding the cooperative scam case involving Ravi Lamichhane, are unfortunate.

Speaking at a press conference organized by the Nepal Press Union in Bharatpur, Chitwan, Home Minister Lekha said that Prachanda's comments were of a nature that could influence the court and the country's laws.
The Home Minister claimed that the government has not engaged in revengeful actions against anyone and emphasized that no one has been kept in custody for longer than the time specified by law.
