Shambala, a Nepali film, recently won the UNESCO Cultural Diversity Award at the Asia Pacific Awards in Australia. Directed by Meen Bham, the film received this prestigious recognition, often referred to as the "Asia Pacific Oscar."

The movie also made headlines earlier when actress Thinley Lhamo's performance earned her the Locarno Award. Shambala was the first Nepali film to be part of the main competition at the Berlin Film Festival.

With positive reviews, the film is set to be screened internationally after its success in Nepal. Starring Karma, Sonam Topden, and Thinley, Shambala tells the story of Pema, a woman who embarks on a journey to find her lost husband, navigating many obstacles along the way.
