Sanu Sherpa, a 47-year-old mountaineer from the small village of Makalu in Sankhuwasabha, has once again achieved the extraordinary feat of climbing 14 peaks over 8,000 meters.
His journey is a testament to years of hard work, perseverance, and an unwavering love for the mountains. Through every challenge, his determination has remained steadfast, inspiring countless others who share the same dream.
Sherpa's achievements have not only brought pride to the country but have also inspired countless aspiring climbers around the world.
The list of mountain expeditions includes several notable climbs over the years. Annapurna was climbed in 2016, 2021, and 2022, while Broad Peak saw ascents in 2014 and 2017. Cho Oyu was tackled in 2006 and 2008, and Dhaulagiri was reached in 2019, 2021, and 2022. Everest has seen multiple expeditions, including successful summits in 2007, 2008, 2009, 2012, 2013, 2016, and 2017. Gasherbrum II was climbed in 2019 and 2022, and Gasherbrum I in 2013, 2019, and 2022. K2 saw ascents in 2012 and 2021, while Kanchenjunga was reached in 2014 and 2022. Lhotse was summited in 2008, 2021, and 2022, and Makalu in 2019 and 2022. Manaslu was climbed in 2010, 2011, and 2016, and Nanga Parbat saw expeditions in 2017, 2018, and 2022. Shishapangma was summited in 2006 and 2011.
