Top leaders of the ruling coalition have gathered at the Prime Minister’s official residence in Baluwatar to strategize ahead of a key parliamentary session.
With the government preparing to present the Appropriation Bill for the upcoming fiscal year in the House of Representatives on Tuesday, the ruling alliance is working to ensure smooth passage of the bill.
Leaders from major coalition partners, including Prime Minister and UML Chair KP Sharma Oli, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba, Janamat Party’s Dr. CK Raut, Nagarik Unmukti Party Chair Ranjita Shrestha, and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party Chair Mahantha Thakur, are attending the meeting.
To strengthen their position, both the CPN-UML and Nepali Congress have already directed their lawmakers to support the bill. The meeting is expected to focus on finalizing the alliance’s approach for securing majority support in parliament.
