Early results from Thursday’s House of Representatives election show the Rastriya Swatantra Party leading in most constituencies of the Kathmandu Valley.
According to the latest vote count, the party is ahead in 14 out of 15 constituencies in the Valley. The party is behind only in Lalitpur-1.
RSP is leading in all 10 constituencies of Kathmandu, two in Lalitpur, and two in Bhaktapur.
In Kathmandu, the candidates currently leading are:
Ranju Darshana (Kathmandu-1), Sunil KC (Kathmandu-2), Rajunath Pandey (Kathmandu-3), Pukar Bam (Kathmandu-4), Sasmit Pokharel (Kathmandu-5), Shishir Khanal (Kathmandu-6), Ganesh Parajuli (Kathmandu-7), Biraj Bhakta Maharjan (Kathmandu-8), DP Aryal (Kathmandu-9), and Pradeep Bista (Kathmandu-10).
In Lalitpur, Jagadish Kharel is leading in Lalitpur-3 and Toshima Karki in Lalitpur-2, while Udaya Shumsher Rana of the Nepali Congress is ahead in Lalitpur-1.
In Bhaktapur, RSP candidates are also leading in both constituencies. Rukesh Ranjit is ahead in Bhaktapur-1, while Rajiv Khatri is leading in Bhaktapur-2.
