RSP Candidates Take Early Lead in Several Kathmandu Constituencies

Candidates from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have taken early leads in multiple constituencies across Kathmandu as vote counting continues following Thursday’s House of Representatives election. Preliminary results show RSP contenders ahead in seven constituencies, including Kathmandu–1, 8, and 10.

As vote counting continues for the House of Representatives election 2082 held on Thursday, candidates of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have taken the lead in several constituencies of Kathmandu.

 

According to the preliminary results, Ranju Neupane is leading in Kathmandu-1 with 9,078 votes.

 

Similarly, Biraj Bhakta Shrestha is ahead in Kathmandu-8 with 7,617 votes, while Pradeep Bista has secured the lead in Kathmandu-10 with 6,042 votes.

 

Likewise, Sasmita Pokharel has taken the lead in Kathmandu-5 with 3,700 votes, Pukar Bam in Kathmandu-4 with 2,529 votes, Ganesh Parajuli in Kathmandu-7 with 2,833 votes, and Shishir Khanal in Kathmandu-6 with 2,238 votes.

 

Election officials have stated that the vote counting is still ongoing, and the vote margins may change as counting progresses.

 

Constituencies where RSP is leading:

  • Kathmandu-1: Ranjhu Neupane – 9,078 votes

  • Kathmandu-8: Biraj Bhakta Shrestha – 7,617 votes

  • Kathmandu-10: Pradeep Bista – 6,042 votes
