The meeting of the House of Representatives was again disturbed by protests from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) today.

When the meeting started, Speaker Devraj Ghimire tried to begin the regular proceedings. But lawmakers from RSP and RPP stood up and started showing their protest inside the Parliament.

The protest began after the Speaker allowed Shyam Kumar Ghimire, the Chief Whip of the Nepali Congress, to speak during the emergency time. Right after that, RSP lawmakers surrounded the rostrum (bell area) and started chanting slogans.

Even though there was protest, the Parliament meeting continued.

RSP and RPP have been demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak over the "Visit Visa" scandal. They claim that the Home Minister is responsible for the irregularities in the visa process.

For the past few days, RSP and RPP have been blocking the Parliament’s proceedings, asking for his resignation.

Despite their protest, Parliament is still trying to function.
