Opposition parties Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) and Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) continued their protest in the House of Representatives today, demanding a high-level investigation committee and the resignation of the Home Minister over the visit visa scam. Both parties also boycotted Monday’s meeting.
Speaking during special time in the meeting, RSP lawmaker Shiva Nepali accused the government of trying to silence opposition voices in Parliament when they raised concerns about human trafficking under the guise of visit visas. RSP once again repeated its demand for a parliamentary probe committee or a judicial commission.
Meanwhile, today’s meeting also included the agenda of ministers answering questions raised during discussions on the Appropriation Bill, 2082.
Ministers from various ministries such as Forest and Environment, Federal Affairs, Energy, Defense, Agriculture, Health, Law and Parliamentary Affairs, and Tourism will respond to the questions raised about their budgets for the next fiscal year.
Similarly, ministers from other ministries like Youth and Sports, Infrastructure, Women and Children, Industry, Land Management, Drinking Water, Education, Foreign Affairs, Labor, Home, and Information Technology will also answer the questions related to their sectors.
