Rain Likely in Many Provinces This Afternoon Despite Clear Morning

Most parts of the country, including the Kathmandu Valley, experienced clear skies and sunshine this morning. However, the weather is expected to change by the afternoon, with rainfall likely in several regions.

According to the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, light to moderate rain accompanied by thunder and lightning is expected in many areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces. Some parts of Madhesh Province may also see rainfall later in the day.

The department has also warned of the possibility of heavy rain in one or two hilly areas of the aforementioned provinces.

Rainfall could continue into the night as well, especially in provinces other than Madhesh. The public is advised to stay alert and prepare for possible wet weather conditions throughout the day.
