The Kathmandu district court has extended the custody of Rabindra Mishra, senior vice-president of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), by five more days for continuing the investigation into his alleged role in the March 28 violence during a protest of pro-royalist forces in which two people lost their lives amid incidents of arson, looting, vandalism and the use of state force. As part of the probe, police have arrested several RPP leaders as well as Durga Prasain, the self-styled commander of the protest.

The Kathmandu district court on Sunday (May 4) extended the custody of Rabindra Mishra, senior vice-president of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), by five more days for continuing the investigation into his alleged role in the March 28 violence during a protest of pro-royalist forces in which two people lost their lives amid incidents of arson, looting, vandalism and the use of state force, in Kathmandu.
This is Mishra's sixth custody extension in connection with the case.
As part of the probe, several RPP leaders as well as Durga Prasain, the self-styled commander of the protest, have landed behind bars.
