A protest was held at Maitighar Mandala in Kathmandu on Tuesday, demanding the resignation of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak. The protest was organized by youth and student wings of different political parties, including ANNISU (Revolutionary), ANNFSU, Youth Association Nepal, Young Communist League (YCL), and others.

The protestors raised serious concerns over corruption, human trafficking and betrayal of the nation through misuse of visit visas under the Department of Immigration. They claimed that these activities were carried out under the watch of the Home Ministry and demanded accountability.

The demonstrators shouted slogans and held banners demanding that Home Minister Lekhak step down as he had failed to stop corruption. They urged the government to immediately investigate the misuse of authority on the part of immigration officials and take strict action against those involved. The protest remained peaceful, but the voices were loud and clear — the people want answers and action.
