Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has been chosen as the coordinator of the newly formed Nepali Communist Party during a historic unification assembly held at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu.
The announcement was made by leader Mahendra Raya Yadav, who also confirmed that former CPN (Unified Socialist) Chair Madhav Kumar Nepal has been appointed as the party’s co-coordinator.
Prachanda, who previously led the CPN (Maoist Centre), will now assume leadership of the unified leftist party, while Nepal will serve as his deputy.
