Prachanda Criticizes Government for Ignoring Teachers' Demands

CPN (Maoist Centre) Chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the government is not serious about solving the problems of teachers.

Speaking at the oath-taking ceremony of the newly-elected members of the Press Center Nepal, Prachanda accused the government of humiliating teachers without shame.

He said that the government must pass the law according to the agreements already made with teachers and find a faster way to address their demands. He also pointed out that the government should create a proper environment for teachers to return to schools, as the court has already issued an order. However, Prachanda said the government does not seem willing to act.

He stressed the need to move forward to fulfill the teachers’ demands.
