Former State Minister for Health Tirtharam Dangol Passes Away at 77

Nepali Congress (NC) leader and former Minister of State for Health, Tirtharam Dangol, passed away on Friday night at the age of 77. He breathed his last at KMC Hospital in Sinamangal, Kathmandu, while undergoing treatment for prostate cancer and kidney-related complications, family sources confirmed.

Dangol had served as the treasurer and district committee president of the Nepali Congress in Kathmandu apart from holding the post of deputy mayor of Kathmandu Metropolitan City.

Dangol's body will be kept at the Nepali Congress central office from 11 AM to 1 PM today (April 26) for party members and the public to pay their tributes, former Minister and Congress leader Bhimsen Das Pradhan said. His last rites will be performed at Teku Dobhan later in the day.

The Nepali Congress and the broader political community have expressed deep sorrow over his passing, remembering him as a dedicated and principled leader.
