CPN (Maoist) coordinator and former Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that the ongoing political instability in the country can be resolved only through timely elections.
Inaugurating the Ghalegaun Cultural Building at Panchakanya-3, Nuwakot on Sunday, Dahal said that the people’s right to self-determination is at risk, and restoring it requires a fresh mandate through elections.
He stressed the need for national political unity to ensure elections take place on schedule.
“Not only communist forces, but all political powers including the Nepali Congress must unite to conduct the election,” Dahal said. “If the polls cannot be held on Falgun 21 due to time constraints, a fresh mandate should be taken between Baisakh and the first week of Jestha. The country must move forward by ending this instability.”
