Amid growing political unrest, Prime Minister KP Oli has called an all-party meeting at his official residence in Baluwatar this evening (March 30).

Mahesh Bartaula, the chief whip of the ruling CPN, said the meeting will focus on the latest developments in the country. Leaders from major political parties, including the UML, Nepali Congress, Maoist Center and Unified Socialists, have received the call.

Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba is currently outside the valley but is expected to return before the meeting begins. "We will proceed once he arrives," Bartaula stated.

This meeting marks the first time pro-republican parties are coming together since Friday’s pro-monarchy protest in Tinkune, Kathmandu.
