Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has urged the Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) to remain united, disciplined, and focused on its main goals.

Speaking at the opening of the ‘NRNA Global Conclave’, PM Oli said NRNA (the conclave organizer), should not be influenced by narrow interests or behaviors that do not match its objectives. He stressed the need for harmony and cooperation within the organization.

“It is not right to have disputes in such a common platform. An organization cannot run just by changing rules for individuals. If general conventions turn into fights and clashes, it sends a bad message. Let’s be guided by logic and wisdom, not personal interests,” he said.

PM Oli also reminded the NRNA members not to get distracted from their noble mission of working for the welfare of the global Nepali community, strengthening cultural ties, and contributing to Nepal. He said political division should not be allowed in the association and any rightful effort would have the support of the government of Nepal.

He confirmed that the current president of NRNA, Badri KC, is still legally in office and expressed confidence that the leadership would be handed over through a proper democratic process. PM Oli said the government is ready to make necessary legal changes related to non-resident Nepalis based on suggestions received.
