The House of Representatives meeting has been postponed for 15 minutes. The meeting was adjourned following an argument between the ruling and opposition party lawmakers.
As soon as the meeting began, the opposition stood up in protest and so did lawmakers from ruling parties.
During this, both sides exchanged accusations and resorted to sloganeering. With both sides standing in protest, the Speaker decided to adjourn the meeting.
Earlier, opposition parties took a firm stance that they would not allow the meeting to proceed until Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli provided an explanation regarding the removal of Kulman Ghising as managing director of the Nepal Electricity Authority.
