Former Prime Minister and Chairman of the CPN (Maoist Center), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda,' has accused KP Oli’s government of damaging Nepal’s foreign relations.
Speaking at an event in Bara on Thursday, he said Nepal had good relations with India, China and other countries when he was Prime Minister. However, he claimed that the ties have worsened during Oli's premiership.
People are losing faith in the current coalition government, he said: some groups are trying to spread the idea that all political parties and leaders are the same, which is not true.
"When I was the Prime Minister, we had excellent agreements with India. There were so many agreements with India, and our relations with China, the United Nations and other countries were strong. But after Oli took over, everything has fallen apart," he said.
My government (the predecessor of the current government) launched an anti-corruption campaign during its 18-month tenure, he said: the current government is protecting corrupt individuals.
