Nepali Congress MP and former minister NP Saud has expressed dissatisfaction over the timing of a high-level Pakistani military delegation’s visit to Nepal.
Speaking in the House of Representatives, Saud said the government ignored the tense situation between India and Pakistan following a serious terrorist attack.
“Despite a brutal terrorist attack in the region, it seems the Pakistani military team visited Nepal. Even if the visit was pre-planned, the government should have been sensitive to the current situation and postponed it,” Saud said.
He also referred to the recent attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, where a Nepali citizen, Sudip Neupane, was killed along with 25 others. Saud added that Nepal is not immune from global terrorist threats.
