No Room for Groupism in UML, Says KP Oli Amid Bhandari Buzz

CPN-UML Chair KP Sharma Oli has spoken out against former President Bidya Devi Bhandari’s recent political activities. He is not happy about her possible return to active politics.

Bhandari has been active in Jhapa, Oli’s home district, where she has been meeting UML leaders and party members. Her actions have led to talks about her making a political comeback.

Speaking at a student union event in Kirtipur, Oli said these rumors were not important. He also said the party has not even set a date for its next big meeting.

Oli added that there is no discussion inside the party about Bhandari returning or any leadership changes. He also mentioned that people are trying to create groups inside the party, which is not good for UML.

He said Bhandari started these activities after returning from China and accused her of trying to confuse party members.

“If there are problems, they should be solved within the party,” Oli said. “But if someone attacks the party from outside, we will not accept it.”
