No Need for Permission to Meet UML Members: Former President Bhandari

Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has said that she does not need anyone’s permission to meet party leaders or attend their programs. Speaking to journalists at the Biratnagar Airport on Tuesday, she clarified that since she had been involved with the CPN-UML long before becoming the President, it is natural for her to have connections with many leaders and party members.

Bhandari explained that she has been working with the party since before officially becoming its member, and therefore participating in UML programs is a normal part of her political engagement. “I have long-standing relationships with many leaders in the party. It’s natural for them to invite me to their events,” she added.

Former President Bhandari had recently participated in various programs in Morang, Sunsari, and Jhapa districts of Koshi Province. After completing her visit, she returned to Kathmandu on Tuesday.
