At the National Unity Convention of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Nepal, nine proposals were put forward.
The closed session, which began on Friday at the large hall of Tribhuvan University, is set to present 16 key proposals. On the first day of the closed session, nine proposals were presented. Party chairman Mohan Baidya introduced the main political document, which, according to party leader Hukum Singh, covers issues of struggle, unity, and transformation. The document also emphasizes a democratic centralism approach, recognizing the need to follow the majority.
During the session, leader C.P. Gajurel presented a document on international relations, while leader Ram Singh presented an organizational proposal. Leader Sant Bahadur Nepali presented both an environmental proposal and a proposal related to the party's constitution.
Hemant Prakash Wali presented a proposal on the history of the Nepali communist movement, and leader Pari Thapa introduced a proposal on religion and culture. Leader Sitaram Tamang presented a proposal on economic policy, and a proposal on ethnic policy was also introduced on Friday.
The closed session will continue on Saturday, starting at 8 a.m. The remaining key proposals will be presented then. Afterward, additional documents will be presented, and a process of debate and group discussions will begin. Following the group discussions, the proposals will be finalized and passed.
