The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) saw a broad rise on Monday, with all sectors ending the day in green. The main NEPSE index went up by 44.25 points, closing at 2,547.

 

Even though the market rose, total trading dropped to Rs 4.97 billion from Rs 6.7 billion the previous day. Among the traded companies, 200 shares went up, 44 went down, and 8 stayed the same.

 

The “Others” sector led the gains with a 5.01 percent rise. Hotels and tourism climbed 3.35 percent, trade 2.81 percent, investment companies 2.27 percent, and hydropower 2.10 percent.

 

Other sectors also saw growth: life insurance rose 1.92 percent, development banks 1.41 percent, non-life insurance 1.44 percent, manufacturing and processing 1.56 percent, finance companies 1.02 percent, microfinance 0.63 percent, and banking 0.28 percent.
