The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index rose by 21.76 points on Monday, closing at 2,892.72.
Even though this was a noticeable increase, the average rise in the index every 15 minutes throughout the day was 0.75 percent.
The total trading amount for the day was Rs 16.32 billion, with 35.64 million shares bought and sold from 311 listed companies.
Out of those companies, 153 saw their share prices go up, 96 saw their prices fall, and none stayed the same.
All 13 trading sectors showed gains.
The "Others" sector rose the most, going up by 1.84 percent, while the Finance sector had the smallest gain, increasing by just 0.23 points.
In total, 138,828 transactions were made during the day.
