Nepali Congress has emerged as the top party in both the direct and proportional representation votes in Bajura District during the House of Representatives election, with 16,746 PR votes, while Janak Raj Giri secured victory in the direct race.

In Bajura District, Nepali Congress, which won the direct (first-past-the-post) seat, has also emerged as the largest party in the proportional representation (PR) vote in the House of Representatives election 2082.
According to the Office of the Chief Election Officer, out of 45,669 total votes cast in the PR category, Nepali Congress received 16,746 votes, while CPN-UML secured 15,897 votes.
Similarly, Rastriya Swatantra Party obtained 6,820 votes, Nepal Communist Party 3,358 votes, Rastriya Prajatantra Party 470 votes, Nepal Janata Sanrakshan Party 136 votes, Sarbabhaum Nagarik Party 131 votes, and Nepal Communist Party (Maoist) 215 votes. Other parties received fewer than 100 votes each.
Out of the total votes cast, 44,469 votes were valid, while 1,200 votes were invalid. A total of 89,343 voters were registered under the PR system in the district.
In the direct election results announced on Sunday, Nepali Congress candidate Janak Raj Giri won the seat with 17,173 votes, defeating Thapa of CPN-UML who received 16,633 votes. Hemraj Thapa of the Rastriya Swatantra Party secured 6,035 votes, while Prakash Bahadur Shah received 3,424 votes.
Several other candidates also contested, while five candidates, including former Sudurpashchim Province minister Prakash Bahadur Shah, lost their election deposits.
