A car carrying a wedding procession crashed into a tree in Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality of Parsa District on Monday night, leaving the driver dead and another passenger seriously injured. Police said the vehicle lost control near the Gandak canal in Mahuwan and further investigation is underway.

A wedding procession car accident in Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality of Parsa District on Monday night left one person dead and another seriously injured.

 

The car (BR 0645) was heading toward Ekdarwa village in Sakhuwa Prasauni from the house of Saheb Sahani in Bahudarmai Municipality–8, Ramnagari. The vehicle lost control and crashed into a peepal tree near the Gandak canal at Mahuwan at around 9:15 pm.

 

According to Hari Bahadur Basnet, Deputy Superintendent of Police in Parsa, the driver who was critically injured died at around 10:15 pm during treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Nautan, Bara. The identity of the deceased driver has not yet been confirmed.

 

Another passenger who was seriously injured in the accident is currently receiving treatment at the same hospital. Police said further investigation into the incident is ongoing.
