Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index decline by double digits : Drops 12.84 Points Today

The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index has decreased continuously over the last few trading days. Particularly, today’s market dropped down by 12.84 points to end at 2676.15 following a 45 point drop on the previous day. The single day turnover for the market also declined to Rs 5.62 billion from Rs 7.46 billion were achieved on Sunday session. The market was unfavorable with only five sectors gaining which included the manufacturing and processing which grew by 1.06 percent. On the flip side, the life insurance sector posted the highest loss at 1.67 percent followed by trading sector at 1.30 percent and non-life insurance sector at 1.16 percent. Overall, the outlook from investors was still negative as 138 stocks moved south 92 beat the trend and 13 stocks resisted the trend.

To give a perspective during government rumor works Sunday decline ,Monday also fluctuated the market. That said with the current drawback of issues aside, the possibility of a market thrust up comeback does exist, if only the investors are heavy confident.
