The Government of Nepal has confirmed that approximately 5,500 Nepali citizens in Israel and 12 in Iran are currently safe, despite ongoing tensions between the two countries.
According to a press release issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Foreign Minister Dr. Arzu Rana Deuba personally contacted Nepali embassies in Tel Aviv and Doha to ensure the safety of Nepalese residing in the conflict-affected regions. The ministry emphasized that the safety of Nepali citizens abroad remains a top priority, and instructions have been given to maintain continuous communication with the Nepali community and provide regular security updates.
The ministry stated that it is closely monitoring developments in both countries and will take necessary actions to protect Nepali nationals as needed. Nepalese in Israel and Iran have been urged to stay in contact with their respective embassies for assistance, and emergency contact details have been shared publicly.
