Nepali Congress spokesperson Dr. Prakash Sharan Mahat has said that forces attempting to weaken democracy and the nation will not succeed.
Speaking at a press meet at his Maharajgunj residence on Sunday, Mahat stressed that political parties must remain vigilant and united to protect democracy and strengthen the country.
He acknowledged internal shortcomings but affirmed that Congress will rise again with renewed determination. “We will not be defeated by arson or vandalism at party offices and leaders’ homes. We will stand stronger, review our mistakes, and move forward,” he said.
Mahat accused certain elements of conspiring to dismantle political parties, adding that they were built through great sacrifice and struggle. He further noted that the Congress party will set a clear roadmap through review and focus on driving Nepal toward development, construction, and employment generation.
